वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical danger-point where justified moral anger can turn into a resolve for total destruction. It invites reflection on whether punishment should aim at correction and restoration of dharma or escalate into vengeful ruin.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the brāhmaṇa Dālbhyā, after deliberation and in a state of wrath, decides upon the destruction of King Dhṛtarāṣṭra—signaling a severe reaction against the king’s role in the unfolding adharma of the Kuru house.
