धृष्टय्युम्नं पुरस्कृत्य पुनस्तस्थी महाबल: । सत्यपराक्रमी महाबली भीमसेन उस पैदल-सेनाका संहार करके धृष्टद्युम्मनको आगे किये पुनः युद्धके लिये डट गये
dhṛṣṭadyumnaṃ puraskṛtya punas tasthau mahābalaḥ | satyaparākramaḥ mahābalī bhīmasenaḥ ||
Sañjaya dijo: Poniendo a Dhṛṣṭadyumna al frente, el poderoso Bhīmasena—cuyo valor jamás resultó engañoso—se mantuvo firme una vez más, dispuesto para la batalla, después de haber aniquilado a aquella infantería. El verso realza el coraje constante y el mando estratégico en medio de las duras exigencias de la guerra.
