Slaying of Kaurava princes and the fall of Śrutarvā

The verse highlights how martial splendor and ambition can resemble the demonic drive for domination ("conquest of the three worlds"). It implicitly cautions that outward brilliance and heroic display do not by themselves indicate righteousness; intent and alignment with dharma matter.
Sañjaya describes the Kaurava warriors advancing in battle formation. Their chariots, ornamented with many small bells and gold decorations, appear dazzling, and he likens their readiness for victory to Daityas and Dānavas preparing to seize the three worlds.
