Śalya-hatānantarāṇi: Madrarāja-padānugānāṃ praskandana and the Pandava counter-encirclement (शल्यहतानन्तराणि—मद्रराजपदानुगानां प्रस्कन्दनम्)
त॑ परे नाभ्यवर्तन्त मर्त्या मृत्युमिवागतम्
taṁ pare nābhyavartanta martyā mṛtyum ivāgatam
Sañjaya dijo: Los guerreros del bando contrario no se atrevieron a acercársele, como si la Muerte misma hubiera llegado ante ellos. El instante subraya cómo, en la furia del combate, un solo luchador formidable puede encarnar la consecuencia inevitable y quebrar la voluntad incluso de hombres curtidos.
