The verse foregrounds dharmic kingship and right counsel: Kṛṣṇa approaches the righteous king with joy and respect, implying that political action and major decisions should be grounded in goodwill, proper alliance, and guidance aligned with dharma.
Kṛṣṇa arrives at Indraprastha accompanied by Bhīma and Arjuna, meets Yudhiṣṭhira (Dharmarāja), and begins to speak—introducing a forthcoming exchange of counsel within the royal setting.
