अर्जुनस्य दिग्विजयारम्भः — Arjuna Initiates the Northern Campaign and Secures Bhagadattta’s Tribute
प्रकर्षणाकर्षणा भ्यामनुकर्षविकर्षणै: । आचर्कर्षतुरन्योन्यं जानुभिश्वावजघ्नतु:
prakarṣaṇākarṣaṇābhyām anukarṣavikarṣaṇaiḥ | ācarakarṣatur anyonyaṃ jānubhiś cāvajaghnatuḥ ||
Con empujones y tirones violentos—arrastrándose y retorciéndose una y otra vez—se trabaron en lucha cuerpo a cuerpo. Cada cual, a fuerza de golpes repetidos, abrió en el otro raspones y heridas; y tras derribarse mutuamente, lo golpeaban y lo molían con las rodillas, movidos por el ardor de la rivalidad más que por la templanza.
