अर्जुनस्य दिग्विजयारम्भः — Arjuna Initiates the Northern Campaign and Secures Bhagadattta’s Tribute

उभौ कट्यां सुपाश्चे तु तक्षवन्तौ च शिक्षितौ । अधोहस्तं स्वकण्ठे तूदरस्योरसि चाक्षिपत्‌

ubhau kaṭyāṃ supāśce tu takṣavantau ca śikṣitau | adhohastaṃ svakaṇṭhe tūdarasyorasi cākṣipat |

Dijo Śrī Kṛṣṇa: Ambos contendientes estaban bien adiestrados y eran diestros en las llaves de la lucha—asir la cintura y los flancos, zafarse contrayendo el cuerpo y aplicar clinches de gran fuerza. Metían las manos por debajo del vientre del adversario, cerraban el torso con ambos brazos y luego lo alzaban hasta la altura del cuello y el pecho antes de arrojarlo con violencia al suelo.
