Even celebrated strength and sacred martial skill can fail when inner order collapses; the ethical sting is shame—recognition that one’s power, once governed by discipline and dharma, has become distorted and unreliable.
In the midst of fighting, a warrior witnesses a great abnormal change in his own arm-strength and the ruin/ineffectiveness of mighty divine weapons; realizing this reversal, he is overcome by shame.
