तत्र सर्वत्र दुष्टात्मा कर्ण: पापमतिर्मुखम् । “दुर्योधनने तुमलोगोंके साथ जो-जो पापपूर्ण बर्ताव किया है, उन सबमें पापबुद्धि दुष्टात्मा कर्ण ही प्रधान कारण है ।।
sañjaya uvāca | tatra sarvatra duṣṭātmā karṇaḥ pāpamatir mukham |
Sañjaya dijo: «En todos esos asuntos, Karṇa—de alma perversa y de intención pecaminosa—fue el principal instigador. Cualquier conducta cruel e injusta que allí se llevó a cabo en relación con el hijo de Dhṛtarāṣṭra, en ella la voluntad traicionera de Karṇa fue la causa dominante.»
