ततो दशसहस््राणि गजानां भीमकर्मणाम्‌

tato daśasahasrāṇi gajānāṃ bhīmakarmaṇām |

Dijo Sañjaya: Entonces Bhīmasena, con los golpes aplastantes de su maza, destruyó diez mil elefantes de terrible pujanza que lo rodeaban por todos lados. Después, con fuerza irresistible, hizo añicos muchos más elefantes y cientos de carros—imagen de un poder marcial abrumador en medio de un campo de batalla implacable, donde el valor y la destrucción avanzan juntos.
