ते नित्यमुदिता जेतुं मृधे शत्रूनरिंदम । न जात्वाधिरयथेर्भीता: पञ्चाला: स्यु: पराड्मुखा:
te nityam uditā jetuṁ mṛdhe śatrūn ariṁdama | na jātva ādhirathyer bhītāḥ pāñcālāḥ syuḥ parāṅmukhāḥ ||
Dijo Sañjaya: «¡Oh domador de enemigos!, los Pāñcālas están siempre enardecidos por vencer a sus adversarios en la lid. Jamás los Pāñcālas, por temor a Ādhirathya (Karṇa), volverán el rostro lejos del combate.»
