कर्णवधोत्तरं शल्य-दुर्योधनसंवादः

प्रयच्छान्यस्मै गाण्डिवमेतदद्य त्वत्तो योअस्त्रैरभ्यधिको वा नरेन्द्र: । “यदि तुम आज रणभूमिमें विचरते हुए इस भयानक वीर राधापुत्र कर्णका सामना करनेकी शक्ति नहीं रखते तो अब यह गाण्डीव धनुष दूसरे किसी ऐसे राजाको दे दो जो अस्त्रबलमें तुमसे बढ़कर हो
prayacchānyasmai gāṇḍīvam etad adya tvatto yo 'strair abhyadhiko vā narendraḥ |
Dijo Sañjaya: «Entrega hoy mismo este Gāṇḍīva a otro—a algún rey que te supere en el dominio de las armas. Si no tienes fuerza para recorrer el campo de batalla y hacer frente al terrible héroe Karṇa, hijo de Rādhā, entonces que este arco lo lleve quien sea más capaz».
