Arjuna’s Rapid Advance and the Bhīma–Śakuni Encounter

Educational Q&A

The verse underscores how a shared desire for victory can unify and propel a group into decisive action; ethically, it hints at the power—and potential peril—of ambition when it drives collective violence toward a single opponent.

Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the Pāñcāla fighters, intent on winning, charge en masse at Karṇa, likened to birds converging upon a tree.
