अपरे प्राद्रवन् नागा: शल्यार्ता व्रणपीडिता: । प्रतिमानैश्व कुम्भैश्न पेतुरुव्या महाहवे
apare prādravan nāgāḥ śalyārtā vraṇapīḍitāḥ | pratimānaiś ca kumbhaiś ca petur urvyā mahāhave ||
Sañjaya dijo: Otros elefantes, atormentados por las lanzas y quebrantados por el dolor de las heridas, huyeron presa del pánico; y en aquella gran batalla se desplomaron sobre la tierra, golpeando al caer con sus cuerpos enormes y sus cabezas macizas, como vasijas colosales.
