कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
पिबद्धिरिव चाकाशं तैहयैलोॉकपूजितै: । जगाम भगवान् क्षिप्रं जयाय त्रिदिवौकसाम्
pibaddhir iva cākāśaṃ taiḥ hayaiḥ lokapūjitaiḥ | jagāma bhagavān kṣipraṃ jayāya tridivaukasām ||
Aquellos caballos, honrados por el mundo, se lanzaron hacia adelante con tal furia de velocidad que parecía que beberían el propio cielo. Entonces el Bienaventurado Señor (Śiva) avanzó con presteza, resuelto a asegurar la victoria para los moradores del firmamento.
पितामह उवाच
The verse highlights the epic idea that when cosmic balance is threatened, divine power may act decisively to uphold order (dharma) and protect the rightful stability of the worlds; victory is portrayed not merely as force, but as the reassertion of a larger moral-cosmic harmony.
Bhīṣma describes a dramatic scene: Śiva moves swiftly, borne by extraordinarily swift, world-renowned horses whose speed is likened to drinking up the sky, as he goes to secure victory for the gods (the heavenly beings).
