कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
वरान् प्रादाद् बहुविधान् भार्गवाय महात्मने । उक्तश्न देवदेवेन प्रीतियुक्तेन शूलिना,उन देवाधिदेव त्रिशूलधारी भगवान् शिवने बड़ी प्रसन्नताके साथ महात्मा भार्गवको नाना प्रकारके वर प्रदान किये
varān prādād bahuvidhān bhārgavāya mahātmane | uktaś ca devadevena prītiyuktena śūlinā ||
Mahādeva, Señor de los dioses, complacido y afectuoso, concedió al magnánimo Bhārgava múltiples y variados dones. El pasaje subraya que el favor divino se presenta como respuesta a la devoción y a la dignidad, y que el poder debe conferirse con discernimiento, no exigirse con soberbia.
