Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

The verse highlights how adharma-driven conflict is mirrored by disturbance in the cosmic order: when great forces are set in motion, ominous signs arise, warning that violence and pride can invite destabilizing consequences beyond the battlefield.
As warriors prepare to fix an arrow to the bow, terrifying omens appear—linked to the agitation of major deities’ powers—and even the chariot begins to falter, signaling an inauspicious and dangerous turn in the battle.
