The Crow-and-Swan Exemplum as Counsel to Karṇa
एवं तदभवद् युद्ध त्वदीयानां परै: सह । अपराह्नले महाराज काडृक्षतां विजयं युधि,महाराज! इस प्रकार अपराह्नके समय रणक्षेत्रमें विजय चाहनेवाले आपके योद्धाओंका शत्रुओंके साथ भीषण युद्ध होने लगा

evaṃ tad abhavad yuddhaṃ tvadīyānāṃ paraiḥ saha |
aparāhṇe le mahārāja kāṅkṣatāṃ vijayaṃ yudhi ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Así sucedió, oh gran rey, que al caer la tarde se alzó una batalla feroz entre tus guerreros y sus enemigos. Tus hombres, anhelando la victoria en el combate, avanzaron con ímpetu por el campo de guerra.
