शैनेयचरितम्
The Exploits of Śaineya/Sātyaki amid Encirclement
तावकानां परेषां च युध्यतां भरतर्षभ । नासीत् कश्चिन्महाराज योज्त्याक्षीत् संयुगं भयात्
tāvakānāṃ pareṣāṃ ca yudhyatāṃ bharatarṣabha | nāsīt kaścin mahārāja yo jitākṣīt saṃyugaṃ bhayāt ||
Sañjaya dijo: Oh toro entre los Bhāratas, oh Rey: entre tus guerreros y los guerreros enemigos que combatían, no hubo ni un solo hombre que, por miedo, abandonara la lucha. La escena queda marcada por la firmeza ante el peligro: ambos bandos permanecen atados a su deber de kṣatriya, aun cuando el precio sea la propia vida.
