Educational Q&A

Even amid the pressures of war, the epic highlights dharmic social order: worthy leadership is acknowledged through disciplined attendance, respectful approach, and proper seating—outer etiquette reflecting inner recognition of virtue and legitimacy.

Sañjaya reports that many kṣatriya chiefs, along with those already mentioned, come to Yudhiṣṭhira, stand near him in attendance, and then enter to sit on an auspicious seat, indicating a formal assembly around him.
