अर्जुनस्य सैन्धवाभिमुखगमनम् तथा विन्दानुविन्दयोर्वधः

ततो वादित्रघोषाश्न प्रादुरासन्‌ सहस्रश: । सिंहनादश्न पाण्डूनां प्रतिज्ञाते महात्मना

Transliteration

tato vāditraghoṣāḥ prādurāsan sahasraśaḥ | siṃhanādaś ca pāṇḍūnāṃ pratijñāte mahātmanā ||

Translation

Entonces, cuando el magnánimo hubo pronunciado su solemne voto, el campamento de los Pāṇḍavas resonó de pronto en todas direcciones con el clamor de innumerables instrumentos de guerra y con los gritos de combate, leoninos, de los héroes pándavas. Aquel estruendo fue una oleada audible de determinación: afirmaba públicamente el peso ético del juramento y encendía al ejército para cumplir su deber en la guerra.
