त॑ दृष्टवा विरथं तत्र भ्रातरो5स्य महारथा: । अन्ववर्तन्त वेगेन महत्या सेनया सह,उसे रथहीन हुआ देख उसके अन्य महारथी भाई विशाल सेनाके साथ बड़े वेगसे उसकी सहायताके लिये आ पहुँचे

taṁ dṛṣṭvā virathaṁ tatra bhrātaro 'sya mahārathāḥ | anvavartanta vegena mahatyā senayā saha ||

Dijo Sañjaya: Al verlo allí privado de su carro, sus hermanos—grandes guerreros de carro—se precipitaron con rapidez, acompañados por un vasto ejército, para sostenerlo y protegerlo en el apretón de la batalla.
