तस्य दीप्ता महाबाणा विनिश्चेरु: सहसत्रश: । भानोरिव महाराज धर्मकाले मरीचय:

Transliteration

tasya dīptā mahābāṇā viniśceruḥ sahasraśaḥ | bhānor iva mahārāja dharmakāle marīcayaḥ ||

Translation

Dijo Sañjaya: Oh gran rey, de su arco brotaron, por millares, grandes flechas encendidas. Y así como en el tiempo señalado el sol derrama incontables rayos que se expanden por doquier, así aquellas saetas fulguraron y se abrieron en todas direcciones desde el arco de Vṛṣasena.
