द्रोणपर्व — पञ्चदशोऽध्यायः (Droṇa Parva, Chapter 15): युधिष्ठिर-रक्षा तथा अर्जुनस्य शरवृष्टिः
निर्जित्य धार्तराष्ट्रांस्तु पाण्डवेया महारथा: । व्यरोचन्त रणे राजन् दीप्यमाना इवाग्नय:,राजन्! इस प्रकार आपके पुत्रोंकी जीतकर महारथी पाण्डव प्रज्वलित अग्नियोंकी भाँति रणक्षेत्रमें प्रकाशित होने लगे
nirjitya dhārtarāṣṭrāṁs tu pāṇḍaveyā mahārathāḥ | vyarocanta raṇe rājan dīpyamānā ivāgnayaḥ ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Oh rey, tras vencer a los hijos de Dhṛtarāṣṭra, los grandes guerreros de carro de los Pāṇḍavas resplandecieron en la batalla como fuegos encendidos—imagen que muestra cómo la victoria se vuelve destreza y ánimo visibles, aunque la guerra siga siendo moralmente grave y devastadora.
