Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s advance toward Droṇa and the Sātyaki–Karṇa confrontation
The verse highlights ethical restraint and inner discernment: sometimes the most fitting response is silence coupled with inward respect, especially when words have already expressed what is right or admirable.
After a statement has been made (in context, by Sātyaki as indicated by the surrounding narration), the leading Kauravas do not answer back; instead, they mentally approve and honor the speaker, indicating tacit agreement or admiration.
