Adhyāya 113: Karṇa–Bhīma Śaravarṣa and the Battlefield Aftermath (कर्णभीमशरवर्षः)
मां चापि मन्यते युद्धे भारद्वाजस्य धीमतः । सो<हं सम्भावनां चैतामाचार्यवचनं च तत्
māṁ cāpi manyate yuddhe bhāradvājasya dhīmataḥ | so'haṁ sambhāvanāṁ caitām ācāryavacanaṁ ca tat ||
Sañjaya dijo: «Incluso a mí, el sabio hijo de Bhāradvāja me tiene por alguien de peso en esta guerra. Por eso acepto tanto este honor que se me concede como aquellas palabras del maestro.»
संजय उवाच
Esteem granted by a respected authority (ācārya) should be received as a charge of responsibility, not as fuel for vanity—especially in the moral pressure of war.
Sañjaya reports that Droṇa (the wise Bhāradvāja-descendant) regards him as important in the battle context; Sañjaya acknowledges both the honor shown to him and the teacher’s statement.
