भीष्मस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति उपालम्भः

Bhīṣma’s Reproof to Duryodhana

अन्तमद्य गमिष्यामि यदि नोत्सूजसे रणम्‌ | तदनन्तर क्रूर घटोत्कच क्रोधसे लाल आँखें करके दुर्योधनसे बोला--'ओ दुष्ट! आज मैं अपने उन पितरों और माताके ऋणसे उऋण हो जाऊँगा

antam adya gamiṣyāmi yadi notsṛjase raṇam |

Sañjaya dijo: «Hoy te llevaré a tu fin, si no abandonas la batalla». Luego el feroz Ghaṭotkaca—con los ojos enrojecidos por la ira—se dirigió a Duryodhana: «¡Miserable! Hoy saldaré la deuda que tengo con mis antepasados y con mi madre, a quienes obligaste a soportar largos años de destierro en el bosque. Eres cruel y de juicio torcido. Venciste a los Pāṇḍavas con engaño en el juego de dados; arrastraste a Kṛṣṇā, hija de Drupada, vestida con una sola prenda y en su tiempo, al interior de la asamblea real y la sometiste a múltiples humillaciones; y el malvado rey de Sindhu, deseoso de complacerte, ultrajó a los míos al raptar a Draupadī de su ermita. ¡Oh deshonra de tu linaje!
