सात्यको5पि ततस्तूर्ण भीमस्य प्रियकाम्यया । गाड़ेयसारथिं तूर्ण पातयामास सायकैः,इधर सात्यकिने भी भीमसेनका प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे भीष्मके सारथिको तुरंत ही अपने सायकोंद्वारा मार गिराया
sātyako 'pi tatas tūrṇaṃ bhīmasya priyakāmyayā | gāḍeyasārathiṃ tūrṇaṃ pātayāmāsa sāyakaiḥ ||
Sañjaya dijo: Entonces Sātyaki también, obrando con presteza por el deseo de complacer a Bhīma, abatió rápidamente con sus flechas al auriga de Gāḍeya. El verso muestra cómo la lealtad personal y el afán de satisfacer a un aliado pueden avivar la violencia en la niebla moral de la batalla.
