कलिड्नां च समरे भीमस्य च महात्मन: । जगत: प्रक्षयकरं घोररूपं भयावहम्
kaliṅgānāṃ ca samare bhīmasya ca mahātmanaḥ | jagataḥ prakṣayakaraṃ ghorarūpaṃ bhayāvaham ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Entonces, en el campo de batalla, comenzó un encuentro pavoroso entre los guerreros de Kaliṅga y Bhīma, el magnánimo: terrible a la vista, inspirador de espanto, como si pudiera traer la ruina sobre el mundo entero.
