उद्वृत्तानां यथा शब्द: समुद्राणां युगक्षये । अर्जुनके प्रति आक्रमण करते हुए उन वीरोंका सिंहनाद उसी प्रकार सुनायी पड़ा

Transliteration

udvṛttānāṃ yathā śabdaḥ samudrāṇāṃ yugakṣaye | arjunakaṃ prati ākramaṇaṃ kurvatāṃ teṣāṃ vīrāṇāṃ siṃhanādaḥ sa tathā śrūyate, yathā pralayakāle svāṃ maryādāṃ vihāya vardhamānānāṃ samudrāṇāṃ bhīṣaṇā garjanā śrūyate |

Translation

Dijo Sañjaya: Como al fin de una era los océanos—dejando atrás sus límites—se alzan con un rugido aterrador, así se oyó el grito de guerra, leonino, de aquellos héroes cuando se precipitaron para acometer a Arjuna. La imagen subraya la fuerza abrumadora y estremecedora de la guerra cuando se derrumba la contención y la destrucción parece hincharse sin medida.
