मृद्यमानाश्न दृश्यन्ते पार्थेन नरयूथपा: । इषुभिस्ताड्यमानाश् नाराचैश्व सहस्रश:
mṛdyamānāś ca dṛśyante pārthena narayūthapāḥ | iṣubhis tāḍyamānāś ca nārācaiś ca sahasraśaḥ ||
Sañjaya dijo: «Se veía a los jefes de las tropas de hombres ser aplastados por Pārtha; heridos una y otra vez por sus flechas—por miles de saetas de hierro—quedaban anegados en el apretón de la batalla.»
