भीष्मरक्षण-प्रकरणम् / The Protective Screen around Bhīṣma and the Śalya–Yudhiṣṭhira Clash
प्रविष्ट: स निशां तां च गमयामास पार्थिव: । प्रभातायां च शर्वर्या प्रातरुत्थाय तान् नृप:,भूपाल! वहाँ जाकर राजाने सुखसे रात बितायी और सबेरा होनेपर उसने प्रात:काल उठकर राजाओंको यह आज्ञा दी--'राजसिंहो! तुम सब लोग सेनाको युद्धके लिये तैयार करो, आज पितामह भीष्म रणभूमिमें कुपित होकर सोमकोंका संहार करेंगे”
sañjaya uvāca | praviṣṭaḥ sa niśāṃ tāṃ ca gamayāmāsa pārthivaḥ | prabhātāyāṃ ca śarvaryā prātar utthāya tān nṛpaḥ |
Sañjaya dijo: Tras entrar en sus aposentos, el rey pasó aquella noche. Cuando la noche terminó y llegó el alba, el soberano se levantó temprano y dio órdenes a aquellos reyes: «¡Oh reyes de ánimo leonino, preparad el ejército para la batalla! Hoy el abuelo Bhīṣma, airado en el campo, consumará la destrucción de los Somakas».
