बभ्रुवाहन-धनंजययोः संग्रामः

Babhruvāhana and Dhanaṃjaya’s engagement at Maṇipūra

यथाप्राणं यथोत्साहं योधयामासुररजुनम्‌ | अमित तेजस्वी अर्जुनके द्वारा मारे जानेपर भी सैन्धव योद्धा बल और उत्साहपूर्वक उनके साथ जूझते ही रहे

yathāprāṇaṃ yathotsāhaṃ yodhayāmāsur arjunam | amita-tejasvinā arjunena māryamāṇā api saindhavā yodhā bala-utsāha-pūrvakaṃ tena saha yuyudhire ||

Vaiśampāyana dijo: Con toda la fuerza de su propio aliento y con un ardor que no menguaba, los guerreros combatieron contra Arjuna. Aun cuando Arjuna, de esplendor inconmensurable, los iba segando, los luchadores saindhavas continuaban forcejeando con él, sostenidos por la potencia y el valor: imagen de firme bravura en medio de una derrota inevitable.
