इत्युक्तस्तामुत्तड़कस्तु भर्तुर्वाक्यमथाब्रवीत् । श्रुत्वा च सा तदा प्रादात् ततस्ते मणिकुण्डले
ity uktas tām uttaṅkas tu bhartur vākyam athābravīt | śrutvā ca sā tadā prādāt tatas te maṇikuṇḍale ||
Dicho esto, Uttanka fue a verla y repitió palabra por palabra lo que había dicho su esposo. Al oírlo, la reina obedeció al instante y entregó a Uttanka, el asceta, los pendientes de joyas: pronta sumisión a una petición legítima y fidelidad al dharma.
सौदाय उवाच
Faithful transmission of a rightful message and prompt compliance with dharmic duty are upheld: Uttanka repeats the husband’s words without distortion, and the queen responds immediately by giving the requested jeweled earrings.
Uttanka, having been instructed, goes to the queen and conveys her husband’s statement exactly. On hearing it, she promptly gives Uttanka the pair of jeweled earrings.
