उत्तडुक उवाच भवद्गतेन मनसा भवत्प्रियचिकीर्षया । भवद्धक्तिगतेनेह भवद्धावानुगेन च

Transliteration

uttaḍuka uvāca: bhavad-gatena manasā bhavat-priya-cikīrṣayā | bhavad-bhakti-gateneha bhavad-dhāvānugena ca ||

Translation

Uttaḍuka dijo: «¡Venerable maestro! Con la mente fija en ti, deseoso de hacer lo que te complace, y entregado sólo a ti, he permanecido aquí a tu servicio, siguiéndote con apego inquebrantable. Absorbido en mi devoción hacia ti, no busqué los goces del mundo ni siquiera advertí la llegada de la vejez. Aunque han pasado cien años desde que vivo aquí, aún no me has concedido permiso para volver a mi hogar.»
