Transliteration

brahmovāca — saṃnyāsaṃ tapa ity āhur vṛddhā niścitavādinaḥ | brāhmaṇā brahmayonisthā jñānaṃ brahma paraṃ viduḥ ||

Translation

Brahmā dijo: «¡Oh, maharṣis! Los ancianos sabios, firmes en sus conclusiones, declaran que la renuncia (saṃnyāsa) misma es la verdadera austeridad. Aquellos brāhmaṇas que moran en la fuente de Brahman comprenden que el conocimiento (jñāna) es el Brahman Supremo».
