Kuntī–Vyāsa Dialogue on Durvāsā’s Boon and Karṇa’s Birth
The verse presents an ideal of dharmic provision: legitimate desires and needs are fulfilled in due measure, suggesting a social order where care, hospitality, and support—especially for dependents and elders—are ensured without deprivation.
Vaiśampāyana describes a setting of extraordinary abundance where people receive exactly what they wish for—beds, food, transport, jewels, and wealth—framing the broader episode of arranging comforts and offerings in the Ashramavāsika context.
