युधिष्ठिरमुवाचेदं बाष्पव्याकुललोचन: । यह सुनकर योद्धाओंके स्वामी महाबाहु सहदेव अपने दोनों नेत्रोंमें आँसू भरकर युधिष्ठिस्से इस प्रकार बोले--
yudhiṣṭhiram uvācedaṃ bāṣpa-vyākula-locanaḥ |
Vaiśampāyana dijo: Con los ojos turbados por las lágrimas, le dirigió estas palabras a Yudhiṣṭhira—señal de un desbordamiento de pena y reverencia, mientras el hermano menor se dispone a hablar al rey en un instante cargado de deber familiar y peso moral.
