tad tu dṛṣṭvā samāsīnaṃ visaṃjñam iva kauravam | ārtiṃ rājāgamat tīvrāṃ kaunteyaḥ paravīrahā ||
Al ver al rey de los Kurus sentado allí como si estuviera privado de sentido, el hijo de Kuntī—Yudhiṣṭhira, matador de héroes enemigos—fue presa de una angustia intensa.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even righteous victory does not erase moral pain: compassion and responsibility persist after conflict, and the suffering of elders and kin becomes a continuing test of dharma.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira sees Dhṛtarāṣṭra seated as if unconscious and is overwhelmed by sharp distress at the sight of the Kuru elder’s condition.
