Kuntī’s Retrospective Uddharṣaṇa and Renunciatory Resolve (कुन्त्युद्धर्षण-प्रत्याख्यानम्)
As a colophon, the verse does not teach through direct instruction but through framing: it marks a narrative unit centered on meeting and reconciliation after catastrophe. The ethical emphasis is on restraint, honoring elders and kin, and moving toward renunciation and inner discipline after the destructive consequences of war.
This line closes the chapter by stating its scope: the meeting (samāgama) of Yudhiṣṭhira and others with Dhṛtarāṣṭra within the Āśramavāsika Parva. It functions as a formal end-of-chapter marker in the text.
