Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
एते हि प्रस्रवा: सर्वे प्रजानां पतयस्त्रय: । सर्व संतानमेतेषामिदमित्युपधारय
ete hi prasravāḥ sarve prajānāṁ patayas trayaḥ | sarvaṁ santānam eteṣām idam ity upadhāraya ||
Dijo Vasiṣṭha: «En verdad, todos ellos son las fuentes de la creación: los tres señores de los seres (Prajāpatis). Compréndelo bien: todos los demás son su descendencia; este mundo entero desciende de ellos.»
वसिष्ठ उवाच
The verse asserts a foundational genealogical principle: three Prajāpatis are presented as primary sources of beings, and all other creatures are understood as their descendants—encouraging the listener to recognize an ordered origin of the world and its lineages.
