अध्याय ५६ — च्यवन–कुशिकसंवादः
Cyavana–Kuśika Dialogue on Lineage, Conflict, and Transmission
यदा तौ निर्विकारौ तु लक्षयामास भार्गव: । तत उत्थाय सहसा स्नानशालां विवेश ह
yadā tau nirvikārau tu lakṣayāmāsa bhārgavaḥ | tata utthāya sahasā snānaśālāṃ viveśa ha sa muniḥ punar evātha nṛpateḥ paśyatas tadā | nāsūyāṃ cakratus tau ca dampatī bharatarṣabha ||
Dijo Bhishma: Cuando el sabio Bhargava advirtió que la pareja real permanecía por completo imperturbable, se levantó de pronto y entró en la cámara del baño. Luego, ante la mirada del rey, aquel asceta volvió a desvanecerse. Aunque el rey había dispuesto de antemano todos los enseres del baño propios de la realeza, el sabio los despreció por entero y no hizo uso de nada; y aun así, el esposo y la esposa no lo miraron con ánimo de reproche, oh toro entre los Bharatas.
