अध्याय ५६ — च्यवन–कुशिकसंवादः
Cyavana–Kuśika Dialogue on Lineage, Conflict, and Transmission
क्लृप्तमेव तु तत्रासीत् स्नानीयं पार्थिवोचितम् । असत्कृत्य च तत् सर्व तत्रैवान्न्तरधीयत
klṛptam eva tu tatrāsīt snānīyaṁ pārthivocitam | asatkṛtya ca tat sarvaṁ tatraivāntaradhīyata ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: Allí ya se habían dispuesto de antemano los enseres de baño dignos de un rey. Pero el sabio los despreció todos—sin hacer el menor uso de ellos—y, ante los ojos del rey, se desvaneció en el mismo lugar. Aun así, aquel esposo y aquella esposa no lo miraron con ánimo de reproche ni dejaron nacer la falta de respeto hacia el asceta.
