स्वभावश्चैव नारीणां नराणामिह दूषणम् | अत्यर्थ न प्रसज्जन्ते प्रमदासु विपक्चित:,इस जगतमें मनुष्योंको कलंकित कर देना नारियोंका स्वभाव है; अतः विवेकी पुरुष युवती स्त्रियोंमें अधिक आसक्त नहीं होते हैं
svabhāvaś caiva nārīṇāṁ narāṇām iha dūṣaṇam | atyarthaṁ na prasajjante pramadāsu vipakṣitaḥ ||
Bhīṣma dijo: Es la tendencia natural de las mujeres, en este mundo, convertirse en causa por la cual los hombres caen en descrédito. Por ello, los hombres prudentes no se apegan en exceso a las mujeres jóvenes.
