Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
स तीक3्षणविषदिग्धेन शरेणातिबलात् क्षतः । उत्सृज्य फलपत्राणि पादप: शोषमागत:
sa tīkṣṇaviṣadigdhena śareṇātibalāt kṣataḥ | utsṛjya phalapatrāṇi pādapaḥ śoṣam āgataḥ ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: Herido con gran fuerza por una flecha untada de veneno agudo, el árbol quedó gravemente lacerado. Al desprenderse de sus frutos y hojas, poco a poco se marchitó hasta secarse—imagen de cómo una causa tóxica, oculta, puede propagarse por dentro y destruir la vida desde su interior.
