Strī-satkāra (On honoring women) — Mahābhārata 13.46

कुर्वाणं हि नरं कर्म पापं रहसि सर्वदा | पश्यन्ति ऋतवश्वापि तथा दिननिशे<प्युत,एकान्तमें पापकर्म करते हुए पुरुषको ऋतुएँ तथा रात-दिन सदा देखते रहते हैं

kurvāṇaṃ hi naraṃ karma pāpaṃ rahasi sarvadā | paśyanti ṛtavaś cāpi tathā dinaniśe 'py uta ||

Dijo Vipula: Aunque un hombre cometa actos pecaminosos en secreto, nunca está verdaderamente sin testigos: las estaciones, y asimismo el día y la noche, observan sin cesar. La enseñanza es que la responsabilidad moral es ineludible: el mal oculto sigue quedando expuesto ante el orden del tiempo y del mundo.
