विषये वासवस्तस्य सम्यगेव प्रवर्षति । इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी और युद्धसे कभी पीछे न हटनेवाले राजा दुर्योधनके राज्यमें इन्द्र सदा ठीक समयपर और उचित मात्रामें ही वर्षा करते थे

viṣaye vāsavas tasya samyag eva pravarṣati |

Dijo Bhishma: En el reino de aquel rey, Vāsava (Indra) enviaba la lluvia de manera perfectamente adecuada: a su tiempo y en la justa medida. La frase presenta el dominio de Duryodhana como próspero y bien ordenado en lo exterior, pero sugiere que las cuestiones más hondas de rectitud y conducta moral deben ser juzgadas por el dharma, y no por la prosperidad por sí sola.
