सौम्या गौ: सुरभियद्देवी विश्रवाश्व महानृषि: । संकल्प: सागरो गजड्जा स्रवन्त्यो5थ मरुद्गण:
bhīṣma uvāca |
saumyā gauḥ surabhir yad devī viśravāś ca mahān ṛṣiḥ |
saṅkalpaḥ sāgaraḥ gaṅgādyāḥ sravantyo 'tha marudgaṇaḥ ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «También (en esta sagrada genealogía de nombres divinos y de videntes) se mencionan: la apacible vaca Surabhī, la diosa; el gran sabio Viśravā; Saṅkalpa (el poder de la resolución); el Océano; los ríos que fluyen, comenzando por el Gaṅgā; y las huestes de los Maruts».
