दृष्टवा नातिप्रभं सोम॑ तथा सूर्य च पार्थिव । प्रकाशमकरोददत्रिस्तपसा स्वेन संयुगे
dṛṣṭvā nātiprabhaṃ somaṃ tathā sūryaṃ ca pārthiva | prakāśam akarod atris tapasā svena saṃyuge ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: “Oh rey, al ver que tanto la Luna (Soma) como el Sol no resplandecían con pleno brillo, el sabio Atri, por el poder de sus propias austeridades, derramó luz sobre aquel campo de batalla. Así disipó la oscuridad e hizo luminoso el mundo.”
