Shloka 8
एवमुक्तस्तदात्रिरवँ तमोनुदभवच्छशी । अपश्यत् सौम्यभावाच्च सोमवत् प्रियदर्शन:
evam uktas tadātrir avaṁ tamonudabhavac chaśī | apaśyat saumyabhāvāc ca somavat priyadarśanaḥ |
Dijo Bhīṣma: Cuando los dioses hablaron así, el sabio Atri asumió al instante la forma de la Luna, disipadora de la oscuridad. Con porte sereno y apacible, se mostró grato a la vista, como Soma mismo, y miró con calma hacia los dioses. Luego, al ver que el resplandor de la Luna y del Sol se debilitaba, Atri—por el poder de sus austeridades—extendió la luz por aquel campo de batalla, ahuyentó las tinieblas e iluminó el mundo entero.
